Hilton Hotels & Resorts, in conjunction with developer Miral Asset Management, opened the doors to its latest world-class leisure resort development in Abu Dhabi earlier this week.

Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island is the latest hotel component in Miral’s $3.3 billion dollar plan to begin taking guests on the city’s Southern Yas Bay Waterfront. The strategic location offers its guests immediate access to the waterfront’s retail and food and beverage outlets, as well as world-class entertainment and nightlife experiences.

Located just 10 minutes from Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi, and Yas Waterworld, the resort features 545 guest rooms (including 59 suites) and complimentary access to the aforementioned attractions.

There is also a wide range of socially distanced facilities available to guests including signature dining and cafés, a fully equipped Kid’s Club, a Beach Club, a stunning temperature controlled outdoor pool, a spa and fitness centre, and a multi-purpose conference center.

Additionally, as part of an ongoing global wide effort to reduce their carbon footprint, Hilton ensures efficient water, energy, and waste management systems throughout the resort. To reduce energy consumption, lighting is automatically adjusted according to the time of day. Water use is also reduced through taps with fitted aerators and special shower heads that limit water flow without affecting water pressure. Smart systems have also been implemented to control hotel waste management while solar panels are used to power a domestic hot water system.

“We are proud to open the doors to the remarkable Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island. Truly a jewel in the crown of Abu Dhabi’s Yas Bay, the resort encompasses everything that a modern-day guest looks for whilst also ensuring robust environmental practices in support of Hilton’s 2030 Travel with Purpose goals” said Mathew Mullan, Cluster General Manager, Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island.

Extensive conference and event facilities in the vicinity are also available for everything from small meetings to banquets, weddings and international conferences, with a separate entrance for guests arriving at the ballrooms or meeting rooms. The facilities include two ballrooms and 12 multi-functional spaces. Moreover, the property is conveniently positioned 9km from Abu Dhabi Airport, 32km from Downtown Abu Dhabi, and one hour from Dubai.

Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island is the first of three new Hilton properties, developed by Miral, to open on Yas Island. The resort is part of Miral’s efforts to develop a grand multi-purpose entertainment destination on Yas Island. The Abu Dhabi – based curator of experiences aims to posit Yas Island as a top global destination for entertainment, leisure and business through a total investment of $3.3 billion USD. The Yas Island Hilton resort reportedly cost USD $326 million alone.

Hilton is currently in the process of developing both the DoubleTree by Hilton – Yas Island Residences and the WB™ Abu Dhabi, the world’s first Warner Bros. branded hotel. The latter will be part of Curio Collection by Hilton.
