This spring, consider a trip to the lovely Torres del Paine National Park in southern Chile with Las Torres Patagonia.

In response to the current global pandemic, Hotel Las Torres wilderness lodge and Fantástico Sur trekking outfitters have teamed up to create its first ever “Bubble Travel Experience” where guests have the opportunity to safely vacation next to the mountains located in Patagonia, Chile.

What It Is:

Estancia Cerro Paine is the only private estate in Torres del Paine National Park. It has belonged to the Croatioan Kusanovic family since 1979. Originally used as a working cattle ranch, it hailed many visitors in the 1980’s who wanted to climb the Las Torres Peaks. This boom in tourism inspired the family to designate camping grounds on the estate. From there the estate slowly evolved into the business it is today.

On average, the Torres del Paine National Park receives more than 150.000 visitors each year. Many come from diverse countries such as Germany, France, Spain, England, Sweden, Switzerland, United States, Holland, Poland, Russia, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

What makes this destination unique in general is its unique approach to social distancing and its unwavering commitment to the needs of the intrepid travelers that visit from all over the world. From puma tracking, horseback riding, trekking, the recently introduced bubble travel experience, and more, there’s something here for people of all ages.

But that’s not all. According to a webinar held by hotel representatives, visitors can expect to see spacious rooms, environmentally conscious commodities, authentic cuisine, and a regenerative kitchen garden which are used to make meals. Keeping a transparent guest experience in mind, the hotel allows its visitors to see where their meals come from firsthand.

Another thing that makes the Hotel Las Torres experience unique is its harmonious relationship to the wilderness. While guests can experience the wilderness in person, the safety and preservation of the wildlife is also taken into account. Waste levels are monitored, recycling is upheld, the hiking trails are preserved, reforestation projects are constantly updated, and community programs often take place in the surrounding area.

The Bubble Travel Program

The new Bubble Travel program includes private transfers to/from the park or the option to use your own self-drive car, private meals served in your hotel room or tent (if you’re out in the mountains), personal guides, and of course minimal social contact.

It is an exclusive getaway for those looking for an isolated stay with autonomy.

Also included are private excursions with their very own guide. Choose among 11 full day and 10 half day tours across the Torres del Paine National Park.

According to the website, the cost for this trip is about USD 2695 p/p for 4 days/ 3 nights based on double occupancy.

  • The All – Inclusive “W” Circuit Hotel Bubble Travel Experience

This physically demanding hike begins at the famous Torres after breakfast. A tour guide will show the group around the park while teaching you all that there is to know about the area.

The W Circuit gets its name from the way it begins at Torres, winds up and back down two spectacular mountain valleys, and then finally comes to a close at Grey Glacier.

Visitors can stay for 5 day/4 nights at the W Hotel which includes spa treatments at the end of the day. Rates start at about USD $3600. More information can be found on the website.
