United Airlines (UA) just announced that it will be adding more than 400 new international and national flights to its July roster in light of the recent uptick in travel. Bookings for this summer have reportedly increased by 214 percent, compared to last year’s levels.

Services to reopened European destinations have particularly increased ahead of the busy summer schedule.

In addition to the rise in travel options, United has also announced new routes to Bozeman, MT; Orange County, CA; Raleigh, N.C and Yellowstone/Cody, WY. This July in particular will see a 17 percent increase in domestic flights compared to June.

For New Yorkers, United has also announced that they will be introducing an additional weekly flight to Dubrovnik, Croatia along with a larger aircraft to Athens, Greece. New flight banks in Chicago and Washington D.C. will also provide customers with additional convenient connection options. Chicago will see the addition of two new banks for a total of nine banks, while Washington D.C. will expect to see a third bank.

“This July we’re taking a big step toward flying at pre-pandemic levels for our domestic network,” said UA Vice President of Domestic Network Planning and Scheduling Ankit Gupta.

“By adjusting our bank structures at two key hub airports, we’re able to offer our customers easy connections to destinations across the United States so they can start their vacations at times convenient for them.”

Travelers flying internationally will have the option to use United’s mobile app which provides a list of entry requirements for other countries, as well as the option to upload COVID-19 tests and vaccination records.
